Closing multiple Finder windows!

The shortcut "Command - W" lets you quickly close a Finder window. It is also possible to add "Option" and it will close all currently open Finder windows. The same is also true in other applications, but the shortcut varies.

That's true. This shortcut works since MacOs 8 I think. :)

You mean all these years I've been doing command W several times - and I didn't have to! Good tip!

Ever tried apple-h or apple-option-h? The latter closes everything but the current application.

Response to Rene. Command(Apple)-h HIDES the current application, it does not close the application. Command-option-h HIDES everything BUT the current application, the apps are still running.

I've been using command + w to close my Finder windows. Then, five minutes ago, I was surprised to see that my Finder windows wouldn't close whenever I typed the command. What gives? I've tried it on other applications, it still works.
