That still doesn't work for me. It displays the number of pictures in the roll in red like your screenshot but when I release it on another roll, nothing happens.
btw, I'm using iPhoto 6.0.5 (316) and it claims to be the latest version.
That's weird. It definitely works for me with 10.4.8 and 6.0.5. I'll try to think what could cause that.
I got it working. It doesn't work if you have selected the Last 25 Rolls as the source, but when I selected Library as the source it worked. Thanks again. It's a great tip!
Thanks! very useful! is it also possible to rename the rolls? i noticed either they have a number, or the name of the source folder when you drag a folder of pics in iphoto.

You can rename the roll by clicking the small "i" button in the lower left corner when the roll is highlighted. MacGeek.

I have over 11,000 photos in iPhoto this is going to help me organize a lot better! THANKS!
