Keyboard controls in iTunes!

There are a few pretty cool keyboard shortcuts that use the arrows in iTunes. First, you can change to the next or the previous track using "Command-right arrow" or "Command-left arrow". There is also a second volume setting in iTunes that is independent from the system sound. To change iTunes volume setting, you can use "Command-up arrow" and "Command-down arrow".

To go to the next track..you dont really need to press command key and then right or left arrow...JUST PRESS RIGHT OR LEFT ARROW KEY IN iTUNES TO GO TO NEXT OR PREVIOUS TRACK!!!!! NO NEED TO PRESS COMMAND KEY...

nifty post, but what could be better than controlling itunes with keys inside itunes, controlling it universally!

There are many apps out there, my favorite is called SizzlingKeys

I've currently got mine set to cmd-opt-left/right for tracking cmd-opt-up/down for internal volume and cmd-opt-space for play

(i turned spotlight off because quicksilver is better, even though i think you may be able to control itunes from quicksilver)

you can also customize quick keys for playlists and library searches with more functionality if you pay up, about 5USD

either way, check it out

I agree. Sizzling keys is a spanking little app that is nicely customisable and easy to use.

Heard a little about quicksilver, not used it..Any good?

Also: spacebar for pause, works especially well when the boss is coming.

SizzlingKeys is one of the best little controllers I've seen. It is amazing and so convenient. I've wanted something exactly like this. Thanks dt_eq!

the best itunes control I've found is using "itunes bar" in Yahoo widget engine (previously Konfabulator", using a clear skin, and keeping it in the upper right hand corner. It gives itunes volume control for airtunes, scrolls artist info, has a handful of skins, and gives play controls to move around. Way good, check it out, yo!
