Replying and fowarding only a fraction of an email!

A great tip submitted by Roel Van Gils: replying and fowarding only a fraction of an email! In the Mail application, instead of pushing reply or foward and then taking extra time to delete what you don't need anymore, you can highlight some text from the email you received and when you'll press reply or foward, only this portion will be in the new message. Thanks Roel!

I have been trying to get this working with Mail for ages, it is default behaviour in Evolution. I'm running latest OS X 10.4.9 and latest Mail 2.1.1 and what you describe certainly doesn't work. Just to be clear, you highlight a paragraph from a received email, hit 'reply', and the entire email's text is quoted. Suggestions?

okaaaaay, seems it's a preference under 'Composing' that's de-selected by default, interesting. Great to get this working!
