Changing tab in the new Safari 3!

There is a new way to change tab in the new Safari 3 that is included with Leopard that makes it much easier.  There was already a shortcut for changing tab that worked in Safari 2 and the beta of Safari 3.  The shortcut was "Command - Shift - Left or right arrow".  That still works, but the disadvantage is that it doesn't work if your cursor is in a text box.  The more standard shortcut that also works in Camino and Firefox is "Option - Command - Right or left arrow".  This really cool shortcut that works even though you are in a text box now finally works in the Leopard version of Safari.

Hello,

I found your website today and I really like your focus.

I tried your tip for Safari 3 tabs.

"Option - Command - Right or left arrow"., and this key combination does not work at all for me.

I use the key combination of " Command - Shift - Right or Left Bracket". This seems to work even if the cursur is in a text box on a website.

Hi, I have to agree with kanoo. I'm using Leopard, and your shortcut doesn't work for switching tabs. It has the same effect as hitting Command + Right/Left Arrow, which will show the previous page or the next page in Safari.

kanoo's shortcut works for me, though.

If your cursor is in a text field you can always use shift, command ad right or left square brackets to move between tabs.

Yeah, this doesn't work. I hate having to hold down Command and Shift AND hitting another key... I wish it could just be Command and one other key - like Firefox (Commmand + 1 opens first tab, Command + 2 opens the second tab, etc.)

It's a shame you can't just ctrl-tab though the tabs (ctrl-shift-tab to back scroll) like you can in firefox.

I'm running Leopard and it doesn't work for me either. Does anyone know of a keyboard shortcut (other then holding down the title bar and crtl + arrow) to move a window to another space?

If you have cocoasuite, then you can program the menu shortcuts of command-shift-left/right arrow to command-option-right/left arrow. It works fine, and even if you don't have leopard, it does it in a text box.

i dunno about keyboard shortcuts, but you can move a window by just dragging it to the edge of your screen. if you wait a few seconds, it'll shift to whatever space you're moving toward.

The CMD-Opt-Shift-Arrow shortcut works for me on my Macbook with Leopard. I'm really glad too, because it was driving me up the f'ing wall !

Thanks for the tip !

I'm using OS X 10.6.1 with Safari 4.0.3.

The current shortcut for switching tabs is

Command+Shift+arrow

This is not according to the shortcut listed in "Window" menu in Safari. There is says to use Control+arrow to switch. But that is generally already assigned to Spaces.
