Active corners with modifier!
I met someone recently who was using active corners to launch Exposé. I thought it was really cool and efficient, until I tried it myself. I kept accidently setting it off. I did, however, discover an additional feature that made these active corners worthwhile: active corners with a modifier. The way it works is that you hold down a modifier (Command, Option, Shift, etc) while setting the active corner. In this case, the only way to activate the active corner is by holding down the modifier while hovering over that corner with the mouse.

Nice idea using a modifier. I wish there was a provision to use a modifier with the dock!
Me too!!!
me too, wow, apple, please, read this!!!
A great tip. It's there in the "small print" in "Expose & Spaces" but it takes an expert to point it out. Thanks.
Wayne, re the Dock: Option-Command-D reveals and hides the Dock.
From the pic, I can already see your problem and why you need a modifier.
Do not use the upper left corner. It is to close to the menu and it is to close to the window close/min/max buttons.
That is why you accidentally activate it. It took me a bit to get a good setup (with no modifiers needed):
Upper right- Expose
Lower right- Spaces
Lower left- Desktop
This is a pretty natural setup and I dont usually trigger the corners by accident

Great tip thanks
I often use two screen on my laptop (one for Apple and another for XP) and often opened All Windows (set as bottom left hand corner) when racing the mouse from one screen to the next.
hey thanks, it seems to be pretty useful, but I keep on going to get into expose (upper right) but I keep forgetting to press the modifier. Oh well, I guess I'll get used to it. Here's my setup:
UpperRight+Modifier: expose
BottomLeft: Dashboard
BottomRight: Desktop
Thanks!
