Ejecting an iPod or a disk image!
One of the tips that I find is a real timesaver is "Command-Backspace" to send a file to the trash and "Shift-Command-Backspace" to empty the trash. The problem with that is when I came to eject a disk drive or an iPod and the shortcut didn't work. I looked for that for a long time until I realized it was built right in the operating system. With the disk image or the iPod highlighted in the Finder, you just have to press "Command-E" to eject it! A cool Automator script is coming tomorrow!

lol...it took me forever to figure out "Command-delete", (which annoyed me for a while that I couldn't figure it out) I hadn't even thought about trying to quickly eject my drives yet X) Thanks for the tip! keep up the blog, my laptop, Loren, and I really love it ;)
Since there is no "BACKSPACE" on any computer keyboard I ever saw the tipster should pay attention to what is on a keyboard.
Command-DELETE will put a highlighted file, folder, etc,. in the trash and Command-Shift-DELETE will empty the trash.
RE: Command-E, that's been documented hundreds of times and there is a who;e litany of keyboard shortcuts that I can send to anyone who is interested.
I could use that list of shortcuts.
Anyway, dont know where that command+e is documented, but that may be cause I didnt read about any documents :D
In the finder app you can go to "File">"Eject" (About 1/4 of the way from the bottom.)

I found it humorous that Gary, who is splitting hairs over the "backspace" thing, couldn't even type the word "whole" correctly. Oh, sweet irony!
Keep up the tips, I check it daily and have found it very helpful!
I have to agree with John.
