Play/Pause in QuickTime!
There is a very quick shortcut to play and pause in QuickTime and that is the Space Bar. I discovered a new one by accident recently. It is a very simple shortcut but it works great. To pause a playing video, you just have to click anywhere on the video. You can then make it play again by double-clicking on the video!

This is actually a fairly common shortcut for most media player and editing programs. iTunes, VLC, GarageBand, and I think iMovie, all have that capability, to name a few.
I just tried it in Miro. A single-click does nothing, but a double-click brings you into full-screen mode. Double-click again and it returns to the natural state
Man, you need some more meat to your tips. Something like this is better placed under basic functionality. I look forward to more of the type of insightful tips you have posted in past.
Oh my god! thats a fantastic tip I wouldn´t in a milion years have figured this out by my self!
Thanks a lot....
Yeah i agree with Kogler, these tips are a bit simple, i've liked all of your previous ones, do some more of them.
Jason, did it ever occur to you that some of us may not be the genius you obviously are and appreciate ALL the tips offered here. If you have objections to "basic functionality", please keep them to yourself and let the others who appreciate what this site is trying to do benefit from the always helpful advice.
You can also do this on some internet videos. Here are some more shortcuts; command 0, 1, 2 and 3 to adjust the video size on QuickTime. To view full Screen, hit, command F .
Hope this helps :]
...and did you know that APPLE-Q quits a program! Come on, get back to the hard to find stuff we love this site for! The others above are right.
