Pixelmator on sale!

I rarely post about stuff on sale, but I think this one is really worth it. Even though I use Photoshop daily, I often use Pixelmator since I have it because it is so much faster at what it does. I think it is useful for pros and especially the best choice if you don't need all the power of Photoshop. I bought it at full price ($59) because I think it is worth it, but now it is a real bargain at $29.99 from MuPromo. It is only a one day sale, so if you are interested, check it out here.

Don't forget to check out the tip posted earlier today.

hmmm... I have bought Pixelmator as an alternative for my private computer and I'm quite bugged as a Photoshop user in my daily business...

It's not so much that some functionaity is lacking (hey, it's 10x cheaper than PS) - but it's the speed (which I would call slowlyness time and again)...

I really hate to say this, but I'm quite disappointed of the speed (working on a brand new MacBook 2,2 GHz)

The speed gain compared to Photoshop on a MacBook is much less than on an iMac, a MacBook Pro or a Mac Pro because of the integrated GPU. Pixelmator is powered by the GPU and it is the reason why it is usually much faster (on a real video card).

I would recommend Pixelmator. I bought the MacHeist bundle and am very pleased. While I do not have photoshop, I have found Pixelmator very easy to use! Highly recommended!
